We did it! We spent the better part of Spring in the studio and we successfully met our goal for 2008 - we have a new cd of all original music! For the past 2 years, Ema and I have worked together with the vision of producing a cd that we could call our own. It was a labor of love and we’re extremely proud to introduce it to you.
We had the opportunity to debut the cd at the 2008 Sacramento Jazz Jubilee. Thanks to the Sacramento Blues Society for their invitation and the Sacramento News and Review for their support. The blues fans in Sacramento are the best - your enthusiasm made the day a great one for us!

This year has kept us very busy, not only with the production of the cd, but with several performances for wonderful causes. In April, we had the opportunity to participate in the Greater Sacramento United Cerebral Palsy Humanitarian of the Year event honoring Art Savage. In May, we enjoyed performing for the Homeless Connect Project offering services to our community, joining forces with the Salvation Army and several other sponsors.
Our next event will be a cd release party coming this Saturday, June 14th at the Elk Grove Brewery. In addition to the cds, we’ll have t-shirts with our new logo on them - you’re sure to want one (or more) of these : ).
Hope to see you on the 14th!

HAPPY NEW YEAR....!
For those of you who've been following our progress this past year, you know that it was a wonderful and eventful 2007. We were nominated in the SAMMIES, we were selected and winners in the National Colgate Country Showdown, we performed at several county fairs and headlined at the Brewer's Festival. Not to forget about the local venues we performed at throughout the year. It was a busy and very exciting time for all of us! Well, I have no doubt that 2008 is going to be even better!
First, on a very personal note....I am delighted to

As to the band - - we just received our official invite to participate in the 2008 Jazz Jubilee in Old Sacramento. The specific date and time will be determined by the end of February and we'll be sure to let you know. We'll be performing on the Blues stage at Laughs Unlimited in Old Sacramento!
Also, check out the “download this” section of the LBB website. There you will find short samples of several of our original songs that we've been performing over the past year. We have so many more original songs that we are working on and will be fitting into our sets in the near future! Lot's to share with all of you in the months ahead!
Our calendar of gigs is a little lean for this month and February, as I did my usual Holiday madness with family and friends during November and December, but I'm back to booking the band, so expect to see more gigs coming up soon!
Stay safe and I look forward to seeing you soon!!

Oh my golly, time sure flies. Fall has arrived (my favorite season), Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I’ve already begun Christmas shopping. Not too many more shows on the calendar for the remainder of 2007 – we’re all so busy with other commitments, but we’re looking ahead to a fantastic new year.
We had a blast all summer, beginning with the Sacramento County Fair in May, moving onto the

My life has become so rich with music this past year – the band is now performing more than a full set of original music with so much more in the making. Our new year will be a new beginning - - the Linda Bracamonte Band will no longer be a cover band performing a few originals, but instead, an original band performing a few cover tunes. How cool is that!!! My goal in 2008 is to record - record - record - record. We are already in the beginning stages of planning the first cd – it’s taking far too long for me as patience is not one of my greater strengths. I’ll likely have a demo cd to present to all of you before summer and then we’ll be on our way to the real deal towards the end of next year. If only we could be musicians full-time…..sigh.
So, to sum this up this Thanksgiving holiday, I want to give thanks for our friends – those who we’ve known forever, and those who are new to our lives – we love and appreciate each of you. I thank my band members, John, Matt, Lance and Ema who enrich my world with their gifts of music, laughter, love and understanding. I also thank my children, Jerry and Bianca who keep me grounded and give me such purpose. And lastly, I give thanks for the love of my life, Tim - who shares my dreams, makes light of weaknesses and promotes my strengths – he is my biggest fan. I am so thankful for all of you.
I’ll be checking back before the year is over with more news and well wishes.
Until then, HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Happy July !! I hope you all had a wonderful July 4th holiday.
As some of you know we had a very grueling performance schedule for May and June (remember, we all have day jobs - so it was grueling!!)... Well, somewhere in June I came down with a terrible cold and sore throat and ultimately lost my voice completely. With the potential risk of damaging my vocal cords, I canceled my performance at the SAMMIES Blues Showcase. This was very disappointing and difficult as I so wanted to perform at this event.
So with the help of BRA, I made it through the Elk Grove Brewery and Hacienda Del Rio gigs and decided - ENOUGH! I needed to take a break and get vocally back to 100%. So we decided to take July off (with the exception of the next phase of the Colgate Showdown Contest to be held at the Amador County Fair on July 28). Anyway, we ALL needed a break to mow our lawns and get a little sun worshipping in. Once my voice feels strong again, we'll start booking some more engagements... but better safe than sorry (remember that you young aspiring female vocalists out there).

We should have more details about the Amador County Fair soon... just keep checking out our website — and once again thank you ALL so much for voting for me in the SAMMIES. The SAMMIES Sacramento Area Music Awards Show will be at the Crest Theater, Wednesday July 18. I hope to see you all there !!

We're getting started on a very busy summer - but who’s complaining? We had our first experience performing at the Sacramento County Fair and the Hacienda Del Rio in Folsom in May. We had a great time at both venues! Here's a heartfelt thanks to our friends who came out to see us and to all those we added to our mailing list - it is always exciting for us to meet new people who enjoy listening to our band and our original music!
In addition to our upcoming appearance June 16 at Lucille's in Rocklin, we'll be performing at the SAMMIES Blues Showcase at the Blue Lamp on Thursday June 21. Now, I know that is a weeknight, and there is an $8 cover charge....and we're at the top of the evening with

Before the month ends....we'll be back at the Hacienda Del Rio in Folsom playing at a new time (10:00pm - 1:00am) on Saturday, June 30 — hope to see you there!
And before I sign off - - remember it's SAMMIES voting time! The official ballot voting to determine the winners of the SAMMIES has begun. Check out our SAMMIES page on our website (or go to www.sammies.com) for more information on how to vote for... ME, of course !! *S*
We have the beginnings of a beautiful summer in the making... and we hope to be a part of it with all of you!

Hello again to everyone!
Lots of fun stuff to tell you about:
At the risk of repeating myself, I have to tell you how grateful I am to have this band full of great musicians that I truly enjoy performing with. Ema, John, Lance and Matt are such wonderful people who I consider my dearest friends. I love performing with them and I hope it shows on stage just how much we all respect and care for each other both personally and musically — especially their commitment to my original songs.
Ok, back to the news - - I'm pretty excited to announce that we will be performing at the 2007 Sacramento County Fair - so if you're looking for something fun to do this Memorial Day Weekend - come and join us!!!

As you know we are not your typical blues band. We strive to perform songs that are rooted in the Blues - of course we interpret them our own way, applying our own truths and emotions, but the common thread is Blues. I guess we could also be called a "hybrid blues" band, because we marry the blues with other blues-influenced songs from other genres to keep it a little unpredictable and interesting for our audience. My compliments to our following who are so Blues-savvy in recognizing the different generations of blues music that we cover.
From you FANS OF ALL STYLES OF BLUES - we feel the love!
I hope to see you at our next engagement. Talk to you next month!

We plan to start introducing our originals on cd to our friends and audiences in 2007. These will be "bootleg outtakes" of what Ema and I have been working on for the past year (what I mean by "bootleg outtakes", is that they will be recordings of "original" songs Ema and/or I have written, that might be a little rough around the edges). If you've seen us lately, then you know what I mean because you've probably already heard us perform several of our originals live: “I’m On It”, “Do You Want To Funk”, "I'm All Right", "The Ride", "Love Is Blue", "Coming Home", and "Checkin' Out"... and we couldn't be more happy with the wonderful reception we've been getting for them!!!!
So keep checking back here for more updates — and keep those "nice" emails coming. We just love and appreciate them so much... because we feel the same about all of you!
Hope to see you at the next engagement!

Hello there,
Wow, what an eventful Fall season it's been for me! I became a world traveler in September, taking almost the entire month to travel through Europe. Tim and I trekked through England, Brussels, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Holland, Italy and France. I returned with a new appreciation for the beautiful world that we live in.
Upon my return, my daughter Bianca informed me that the new Linda Bracamonte Website was up and running. What a treat that was!

My sincere thanks to Ema Roberts, who is not only the most phenomenal guitar player I could have ever dreamed to work with, but also an incredible webmaster and photographer!
In October, the band began performing once again. A big thank you to everyone who came out to see us at the American River Bar & Grill on October 21 and also at Pachanga's on November 4!! We'll be performing again on December 8th at the Blue Room in Sacramento - a must see show!
I will be using my blogger page to keep you up-to-date on what's going on with my band and to give special thanks to some of the people that help make our creative efforts a success.
I would first like to thank my family, Tim, Bianca, Jerry, and mama Cecilia, for their endless support and encouragement for me to pursue my love for music. A special heart-felt thank you to Tim who lugs around all my PA equipment to each engagement (in exchange, I let him play golf whenever he wishes).
I would also like to thank Bo Ely (with the help of his wife, Kathy) for interviewing the LB Band and making such a wonderful contribution to our website. What an honor!! Bo and Kathy are the best and two of the biggest ambassadors of the Sacramento music scene.
Please check back here next month for more news and kudos, and future show dates!
Hope to see you all soon - much love to all. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
